A related series of vessels with flowing lines created by a special overlap technique. Surface detail and textural quality evolve in a natural manner from this process of construction.

Don Porritt
Apprenticed as a jeweller and silversmith, Don studied Industrial Design and Silversmithing at Leeds College of Art.
Inspiration is drawn from the characteristics of flowing water, with its highlights and strong tonal contrasts.
This inspiration is then sustained in a series of vessels – flasks, jugs and flagons.
Unique curvilinear and overlap processes create artefacts which have a strongly defined dynamic quality.
Work represented in the Goldsmiths’ Company Modern Collection and in private collections in the UK and abroad.
