Wayne Meeten is a contemporary silversmith working in Devon.
He was classically trained at the renowned Arts and Craft school Sir John Cass College.
He has gained an International following, from his time spent studying in Japan, and winning several high profile International Awards here in the U.K, America, and Germany.
His designs ideas and concepts are highly influenced by his other passion of Tai Chi Chuan and Chi Kung movements. He has been a qualified teacher in this form of martial art and eastern philosophy for the past 25 years.
He holds a Masters Degree with Distinction, a visiting professorship to Japan, is a visiting lecturer at Sir John Cass Metropolitan University until 2010, and more recently was awarded a QEST Scholarship to push his skills further, learning Zougan Japanese Inlay with a Living National Treasure Of Japan.
